The faculty members and staff are very polite.

In some universities, many teachers display arrogant attitudes toward students.

Japan Women's University seems to be doing things right in this regard.

Japan Women's University Reputation ③: Vibrant Student Life

Being a women's university, everyone is quite playful.

Since you don't have to worry about how the opposite sex perceives you, you can be your best self.

When students are energetic, events like school festivals become even more exciting.

Japan Women's University Evaluation①: Female / Department of Home Economics Housing Science / Current Student / Entering in 2023

Comprehensive Assessment
Recommended for anyone interested in studying architecture. I'm quite busy as the coursework progresses quickly. Additionally, I believe once you start studying calculus and physics, it will become easier.

Lectures/Classes
You can attend high-quality courses. Not suitable for those who want to play around as there are many assignments.

Employment/Promotion
I think it depends on the seminars you attend and the courses you take. It seems not everyone enters the architecture industry.

Transportation/Location
Far from the station. Also, there are few places to hang out around the station. Prices are high; lunch outside costs over 1000 yen.

Facilities/Equipment
The residential buildings are old and not clean. Only the toilets are new. The accommodation student library has a rich collection and is beautifully set.

Friends/Romance
Many serious students live here. There are various types of people.

Student Life
I've been busy, so I haven't been to many places. However, some manage to balance both, finding it fulfilling.

Japan Women's University Evaluation②: Female / Faculty of Human Sciences Education Department / Current Student / Entering in 2023

Comprehensive Assessment
I find this very fulfilling. Many professors are passionate about their courses. We also offer generous support for education training.

Lectures/Classes
The course quality is very high, with many courses useful for future use.

Each department has many professors who can support students.

Transportation/Location
The campus is located in the heart of Tokyo like Ikebukuro, so the location is excellent.

Facilities/Equipment
New teaching buildings and libraries have been completed, so classrooms are very clean.

Friends/Romance
As this is a women's university, romance happens outside the campus. However, our friendships are excellent.

Student Life
There are few club members on campus. Most people are in inter-university circles.

Japan Women's University Evaluation③: Female / Faculty of Human Sciences Modern Sociology Department / Current Student / Entering in 2022

Comprehensive Assessment
Recommended for those who want to study sociology broadly and freely.
I think this is a place where you can do what you want because there aren't many required courses.
If you manage well and earn credits, I think there's no problem with any course you choose.
Some teachers are strict, but they are all interesting, so I think you'll enjoy classes.

Lectures/Classes
It's great that you're close to teachers and can easily talk to them!
Since class sizes are small, there are many group assignments, and you can talk to many people.

Labs/Seminars
As I mentioned above, I think it's easy to talk to professors because you're close to them, and the small group size makes research more enjoyable.

Employment/Promotion
The employment support department offers a lot of support, and departments and other teachers can provide counseling, so I think you can be confident in your job search.
Additionally, we regularly hold various job search courses, so attending them is also a good option.

Transportation/Location
The nearest station is JR Mejiro Station. It's close to Ikebukuro, Takadanobaba, Shinjuku, Shin-Okubo, and Shibuya, so you don't have to worry about finding places to hang out in your spare time.
However, it's about a 20-minute walk from Mejiro Station, which is the only downside.

Facilities/Equipment
A new building has been constructed to commemorate the 120th anniversary, so there are many beautiful buildings here. The entire building is equipped with full air conditioning and heating, making your classes comfortable.

Friends/Romance
This is a women's university, so let go of campus romance.
However, quite a few people find boyfriends through inter-university clubs!
Also, many people may have a scary impression of internal students, but that's not true; everyone is friendly and kind, so no need to worry!

Student Life
Although there are on-campus clubs, I feel there are more people participating in inter-university clubs. Since Waseda University is nearby, there are often Japan Women's University students in Waseda University's circles haha.
