On Saturday, April 12, 2025, Goncharov Confectionery Co., Ltd. will launch its new animal-themed brand "ANIMALand" with its first permanent store at the newly upgraded Western confectionery section on the basement floor of Osaka Takashimaya Department Store!
The store will offer truffle chocolates and cookies shaped like adorable animals.

Hand-decorated by artisans, the truffle chocolates come in 16 flavors, including 14 regular flavors and 2 seasonal exclusives. The boxed sets are themed: 3-piece sets are available as "Napping Animals" (as shown), "Energetic Animals," and "Chatting Animals," with additional options for 6-piece, 10-piece, and 16-piece sets.
Single-item purchases are also available, with packaging options for 1-piece and 2-piece sets.
The debut frosted animal-shaped cookies feature various adorable expressions crafted with icing, perfectly embodying the ANIMALand worldview. The 15-piece cookie tins come in three themes: "Lumashu," "Teddy," and "Giro," with a 30-piece option also available.
The ANIMALand brand name combines "ANIMAL" and "Land," first introduced at Osaka Takashimaya for Valentine's Day in 2003. After 20 years of building a loyal fanbase, it now welcomes its first permanent store.
