Review of Fukushima Gakuin University ①: Female / Department of Regional Management, Faculty of Management / Current Student / Enrolled in 2024
Overall Evaluation
Although it’s a new company, it goes to disaster-stricken areas to help the local community and provides thorough guidance on business terminology and even how to use computers.
Lectures/Courses
He teaches me with great enthusiasm and has a good relationship with the students, helping me broaden my knowledge.
Employment/Advancement
They have connections with the local community and offer extensive support for getting jobs at local companies.
Transportation/Location
The surroundings are full of greenery, allowing you to focus on your studies while being close to nature. Plus, there are shops just a few steps away, which is great.
While some items are a bit old, it’s equipped with all the necessary tools.
Friends/Romance
Since joining clubs and extracurricular activities, my friendships have greatly expanded, and I’ve become good friends with people from different departments.
Student Life
It’s easy to find a club that suits you, and the seniors are enthusiastic, so I think you’ll get used to it quickly.
Review of Fukushima Gakuin University ②: Female / Department of Child Studies, Faculty of Welfare / Current Student / Enrolled in 2023
Overall Evaluation
There are two qualifications available: a childcare worker qualification and a kindergarten teacher license. With the increasing number of kindergartens these days, this university seems very suitable. The facilities are cute and stylish, making me happy every day. Choosing a university seems better than choosing a major.
Lectures/Courses
According to the teacher, the courses are interesting because they incorporate experience. For example, there are many refreshing courses like bathing dolls, feeding babies, burping babies, making puppet shows, drawing, paper crafts, sculpting, and using clay.
Employment/Advancement
I think the support for finding a job is good, but I often have to take the initiative, ask teachers questions, look for job openings, and take action myself because I want to pursue that specific career path. If the teachers are asked to take action, they will, but if they’re not asked, they basically won’t bother.
Transportation/Location
It’s very close to the station. There’s a place near Fukushima Station called S-PAL where I often hang out or shop with friends on the way home.
It has a miniature European vibe, and just sitting on a bench in the garden lifts my mood. The facilities are clean, and I like it a lot. As expected from a private school. However, the cafeteria has a slightly old-fashioned and dim image. But the food is delicious, so anyone can give it a try.
Friends/Romance
Everyone has their own perspective on romance. In the Department of Child Studies, out of about 40 students in the class, only around 4 are boys, so I don’t have any romantic interest in them. As for my friends, since we’re all in the same job market, we can support each other with various concerns like internships and job hunting.
Student Life
Everyone’s circle is different. The events are fun because the decorations change with Christmas, Halloween, etc., and each class holds parties. I perform in musicals. Homemade ones. It’s tough for you, but it’s fun.
Review of Fukushima Gakuin University ③: Female / Department of Welfare Psychology, Faculty of Welfare / Current Student / Enrolled in 2023
Overall Evaluation
For those who clearly want to obtain a national qualification, it’s recommended. However, I think most people who join without serious consideration end up losing motivation and wondering why they have to study this.
Lectures/Courses
There’s a big gap between lectures that are easy to understand and those that are hard to grasp depending on the professor, so it’s tough when a required lecture is one you don’t understand.
Employment/Advancement
I feel like they’ll provide advice and support for my future career.
Transportation/Location
The location is right in front of Fukushima Station, so it feels convenient and has good transportation.
I think it’s a very pretty campus. However, in the summer, the air conditioning broke and couldn’t be used, which was really frustrating.
Friends/Romance
The clubs aren’t very active, so it’s not suitable for people who want to make more friends or find a romantic partner.
Student Life
There are few clubs, the school festival isn’t grand, and student life isn’t very fulfilling.
