The area is richly landscaped and looks very pleasant.
Reputation of Hiroshima International University ③: Relaxed and Leisurely Student Life
The campus is vast, surrounded by students, allowing for a life of freedom.
You need not worry about disturbing local residents, which is a nice aspect.
There are few critical reviews of Hiroshima International University from students.
Review ①: Female Student / Faculty of Comprehensive Rehabilitation / 2024 Enrollee
Overall Review: My classmates are all wonderful, and the professors are very friendly, so I have no complaints. So far, I haven’t encountered any significant problems, and everything has been smooth.
Lectures and Courses: There are many cheerful and kind professors. The courses are very comprehensive, and some professors provide very realistic models with high-quality materials.
Laboratories/Seminars: I haven't used them myself, but my senior students often use the seminar rooms for self-study. It seems you can use them at any time.
Employment and Further Education: It is no exaggeration to say that the employment rate is 100%. Many companies have sent numerous job offers.
Transportation/Location: The location is not very convenient. For students living in the dormitories, it's difficult because the area is surrounded by mountains, and the nearest supermarket can only be accessed by car or bicycle. For commuters from home, there is no issue as there is a dedicated bus service from the station. The campus is equipped with clean classrooms, restrooms, two convenience stores, a shop, and vending machines, including one selling ice cream. There's also a vending machine offering CalorieMate and an ATM, so there's no problem.
Friends/Romance: You will make friends quickly. I often see couples here, so it seems that many people are enjoying their time here. This doesn't matter to me, as I’m dating someone from a different school, but it seems the number of boys and girls is pretty balanced.
Student Life: There are many clubs, but some seem to have very few activities. Moreover, the start times for classes are late, so even if classes end in the morning, some students must wait until late in the evening for the next one.
Review ②: Male Student / Faculty of Health Sciences / 2024 Enrollee
Overall Review: It doesn't offer a specific job pathway, nor are there clear qualification requirements, so if you want to secure a job more easily, you need to work hard and earn your own qualifications.
Lectures/Courses: They teach in great detail. The professors care for every student and thoroughly answer your questions.
Employment/Further Education: I believe finding a job here is difficult because there is nothing specific provided to help with that.
Transportation/Location: The area is surrounded by mountains, with no nearby supermarkets or stores, only convenience stores. The medical equipment is well-equipped. The lecture halls are somewhat dirty, but they have air conditioning.
Friends/Romance: Many people in this department don't do well. There are a lot of people who only focus on sports, and there's a bit of a hierarchy.
Student Life: There are clubs, but they don’t promote themselves actively, making it hard to find them.
Review ③: Female Student / Faculty of Health Sciences (Psychology) / 2023 Enrollee
Overall Review: It seems like there are a lot of individual activities in the first year, and from the second year, many group activities. I think this is a great opportunity to build relationships!
Lectures/Courses: In my first year, I did many individual activities, but now in my second year, I mainly engage in group activities! Everyone in my class is very friendly, so I enjoy these courses a lot.
Employment/Further Education: I don't think this will help much, as I haven't found a job yet, but I feel the employment opportunities in the psychology department I chose are limited and somewhat difficult.
Transportation/Location: The transportation is a bit inconvenient. There's a 7-Eleven nearby, but it’s often crowded, and the goods may be out of stock or the checkout line may be busy. I think it’s an enriching experience. The campus is large, so it's easy to get lost, but I think it’s a very beautiful building.
Friends/Romance: Of course, this depends on the department, but everyone is very friendly. As for romance, I can only say that everyone has a different perspective on love.
Student Life: It’s very well-rounded! I recommend joining clubs as it’s also useful when looking for a job.
