It’s a quiet space where you can concentrate, allowing you to study effectively at any time.
Employment / Advancement
There are many stable career options such as civil servants and teachers, making it easy to secure a good job.

The station is a bit far, and the narrow roads around the school can be inconvenient and even somewhat dangerous.
Facilities / Equipment
The school has classrooms for various purposes, and the facilities are comprehensive, ensuring a comfortable living experience.
Friends / Relationships
Many students come from outside the prefecture, so it’s easy to make new friends.
Student Life
There are large-scale events, such as inviting celebrities to the school festival, making campus life enriching.
Review ②: Female Student / Faculty of Regional Education and Culture / Current Student / 2023 Admission
Overall Evaluation
Although the foundation is quite comprehensive, there is a lot of specialized training in teaching, nursing, and acquiring secondary certifications, which can be quite challenging. Additionally, practical training is both fun and difficult, and teaching and nursing training are graduation requirements.
Lectures / Classes
The content is substantial. I wish I had more opportunities to learn through discussions with others.
Employment / Advancement
I think this is great because many people become teachers. You can even participate in teaching training at Yamagata University Elementary School!
Transportation / Location
The nearest station is Yamagata Station. It’s about a 30-minute walk, but there is a bus from Higashikurayoshi Station to Yamagata University.
Facilities / Equipment
The outstanding features of the new and old facilities depend on the department. Particularly, the construction of the Faculty of Regional Education and Culture is nothing new.
Friends / Relationships
I have an image of having many friends. There is no bullying, and you have enough privacy.
Student Life
Many people are members of some club. The "circle with four sides" is a popular concept.
Review ③: Male Student / School of Engineering, Department of Architecture and Design / Current Student / 2023 Admission

The current situation is neither good nor bad. Not many people are very conscious of this, so if you want to enjoy student life, I think it’s possible.
Lectures / Classes
In your first year, there are no highly specialized courses, so it’s a time to try new things, so be proactive.
Employment / Advancement
I can’t give details yet because I haven’t reached that stage. However, there are clearly lectures geared towards civil service exams.
Transportation / Location
As for the location, it’s not great. While you may not lead a glamorous life, there are a fair number of chain stores.
Facilities / Equipment
Since the facilities are relatively new, there are no negative impressions like aging.
Friends / Relationships
Since the number of students in each department is small, you could consider it an extension of high school.
Student Life
We have activities similar to a school festival, but I don’t think it’s particularly different from other universities.
