University of Teacher Education Fukuoka Review ①: Male / Faculty of Education, Basic Education Teacher Training Program Evaluation / Current Student / 2023 Admission

Overall Evaluation
I believe that obtaining a junior high and high school diploma from the Basic Education Teacher Training Program is a significant achievement. Furthermore, although the teaching internship environment is excellent, the location is not ideal.

Lectures/Classes
The courses provided by the teachers are comprehensive, but rarely do professors solely read materials, which tends to make them feel monotonous.

Employment/Advancement
For those aspiring to become teachers, they receive ample support, and I believe they are the best in Kyushu.

Transportation/Location
The area is too rural, and there is nothing nearby. I found it particularly discouraging to walk up the mountain to the school, especially on the first day of class.

Facilities/Equipment
The only new facility is the restroom; the school’s equipment is severely outdated. Having only one cafeteria is also quite challenging.

Friends/Relationships
This is a university where students aim to become teachers, so it is much safer than other private universities here.

Student Life
I believe the clubs are fulfilling, but each group has a small number of members.

University of Teacher Education Fukuoka Review ②: Female / Faculty of Education, Basic Education Teacher Training Program Evaluation / Current Student / 2023 Admission

Overall Evaluation
You can study to become a primary school teacher, and depending on the courses, you can earn junior high school teaching licenses for various subjects!

Lectures/Classes
You can choose different courses for each program, allowing you to leverage your strengths!

Laboratories/Seminars
I am not yet a member of the lab, but I hear from seniors that there are many rooms to choose from!

Employment/Advancement
Most of our graduates have passed the teacher employment exams and are working hard as teachers across various prefectures!

Transportation/Location
My place is about a 5-minute walk from the university. There are also many other residences nearby, so I find it very convenient to live here.

Facilities/Equipment
Some places have no WiFi connection, but there are many study areas, making it a comfortable place to spend time.

Friends/Relationships
Since your class is fixed, you will have to make an effort to make friends outside of class, but by joining clubs, circles, and activities, you can make many friends!

Student Life
There are many clubs, and during the university festival, various clubs set up stalls and perform!

University of Teacher Education Fukuoka Review ③: Female / Faculty of Education, Basic Education Teacher Training Program Evaluation / Current Student / 2023 Admission

Overall Evaluation
With the addition of new departments and specialized courses this year, I feel I am in an environment where I can better understand what I want to learn. I believe this university is ideal for those who want to achieve their dream of becoming a teacher.

Lectures/Classes
I am learning the knowledge required to become a teacher in the future, such as teaching methods for various subjects, educational psychology, and the full scope of education.

Laboratories/Seminars
Although I am not yet a member, hearing about the activities from seniors satisfies me.

Employment/Advancement
We have one of the highest pass rates for national recruitment exams, so I believe we have solid support.

Transportation/Location
There is a JR station in front of the university. Since it is located on the Kagoshima Main Line, there are often delays. Fortunately, it is not an unmanned station, so they will issue a delay ticket for you.
There are many supermarkets around the university, so I find it convenient for those living alone. However, there aren’t many places to hang out. A 15-minute bus ride will take you to karaoke, bowling alleys, and other venues. The only nearby spot is a McDonald's.

Facilities/Equipment
Some of the campus buildings are a bit old, but all the restrooms are very clean.
The library's self-study rooms are spacious and comfortable, with partitions at each desk.
Since there is only one cafeteria, it can get crowded during lunch breaks.

Friends/Relationships
Since it is a national public university, most students have worked hard to get in, so my impression is that many of them have strong ambitions and a solid core. I think friendships are not an issue.
Due to the class structure, you can deepen friendships within each class.
There are many places to meet friends, such as in class, clubs/circles, and activity organizing committees.

Student Life
I feel that the clubs and circles are all working hard towards their goals.
The recent school festival was very exciting, being the first one held since the COVID-19 pandemic.
