Baiko Gakuin University Review ①: Female / International Department, Humanities / Current Student / Enrolled in 2023

Overall Review
If you want to attend university, I recommend studying abroad. I believe studying abroad is one of the unique features of this university. Unless you go abroad, I would not really recommend it.

Lectures/Classes
Like any university, if you don't have a goal, you'll end up doing nothing.

Labs/Seminars
There are many religious courses available. A variety of courses to choose from. This is a Christian university.

Employment/Career Advancement
The support might not be enough. However, if you do what you are supposed to, no one will say anything.

Transportation/Location
You have to take a long-distance bus from Shimonoseki Station. It's very close to the bus stop, so it depends on the person.

Facilities/Equipment
All the facilities are modern and clean. There are many unique designs.

Friends/Relationships
Since it is a small university, it can be difficult if things get chaotic. I wouldn't recommend dating at university. I haven't seen anyone dating yet.

Student Life
The badminton club seems to have good relationships. Apart from that, I don't know much.

Baiko Gakuin University Review ②: Female / Childhood Department, Children's Future Studies / Current Student / Enrolled in 2022

Overall Review
Starting from the first year, students can actually visit daycares or schools for practical experience. Since this is a unique university, I feel like I have the opportunity to test my knowledge. I recommend it to those who want to become childcare workers, kindergarten teachers, or elementary school teachers.

Lectures/Classes
You can learn various knowledge about child development. Additionally, there are many group activities in the lectures, allowing for both input and output.

Employment/Career Advancement
Since it is known for producing excellent teachers, much attention is given to the recruitment of faculty.

Transportation/Location
You need to take a three-line bus from Shimonoseki Station. The distance from the bus stop to the university is good, but bus schedules are limited depending on the time of day.

Facilities/Equipment
The entire school is used as classrooms; even corridors and stairs are used as learning spaces. Each room is equipped with projectors, so you can enjoy your favorite YouTube videos on empty screens. There are also various types of chairs.

Friends/Relationships
I think it's an easy environment to make friends and romantic relationships because there are many group activities.

Student Life
Compared to other universities, I feel there are fewer clubs. Christmas is especially significant due to the Christian-related events.

Baiko Gakuin University Review ③: Male / International Department, Humanities / Current Student / Enrolled in 2021

Overall Review
I strongly recommend this course for those who want to study English. It taught me various study methods and allowed me to study abroad, so I was able to truly improve my English skills.

Lectures/Classes
At this university, you can focus on studying English. In the humanities department, students can study abroad from the second year for a year, which is useful for improving scores in tests like TOEIC, and most importantly, it helps you master English conversation and other skills. I think university life itself is very satisfying. The newly renovated teaching building has a café on the first floor, and other floors feature uniquely designed classrooms, rooms where students can concentrate on studying, and places to relax during breaks. I think it's a campus where you won't get bored. If you want to have an enjoyable university life, come to Baiko Gakuin University.

Employment/Career Advancement
In my department, students often find jobs that require English skills. For example, most of them aim to become English teachers in schools, airport attendants, or ground staff. Of course, some also find jobs in banks or in fields unrelated to English. The employment rate is very high because the school does its best to support you in reaching your desired future. I think the academic performance is also quite good.

Transportation/Location
The transportation to campus isn't great. It takes about 20 minutes by bus to the nearest station. As a result, many students live alone near the campus. I don't think there is any issue with the surrounding environment. There's also a Mac nearby, so after class, it might be a good idea to go there with your friends.

Facilities/Equipment
There is a café on the first floor, and the other floors feature study spaces and areas where students can relax, which is very nice.

Friends/Relationships
I think our friendships are very good. In fact, the female-to-male ratio is slightly higher, so it's easier for men to make close friends because there are fewer male students. As for relationships, I had a girlfriend in my first year, and many of my friends also have boyfriends or girlfriends.

Student Life
There are many clubs and societies, so I think you can find one that interests you. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the school festival couldn't be held this year, so I'm not sure what it would be like, but I've heard from seniors that it's a very fun event.
