Aichi University of Education Review ①: Male / Faculty of Education, Compulsory Education Department / Current Student, 2023 Enrollment

Overall Evaluation
My department specializes in mathematics. You can obtain a high school teaching license, which ensures smooth job prospects. Additionally, there are many professors, so I don't foresee any challenges in choosing a seminar.

Lectures/Classes
Practical and hands-on lectures are held, with a particular focus on examining school environments.

Laboratory/Seminars
In some departments, students start selecting seminars in the second semester of their sophomore year. GPA is tied to seminar selection, so maintaining good grades from the first year is essential.

Employment/Advancement
Significant effort is put into preparing for teacher employment exams. In addition to seminars, there are also lectures and practical courses to support this.

Transport/Location
Commuting by bus is inconvenient. Most boarding students have their own cars, and not having one can be challenging.

Facilities/Equipment
Some buildings have been recently renovated and look beautiful. The classrooms, modeled after school classrooms, are inspiring.

Friends/Romance
I have no friends and always eat alone in the school cafeteria. When it comes to friendships, this environment doesn’t suit me.

Student Life
There are many clubs and extracurricular activities. The campus is lively and bustling with students.

Aichi University of Education Review ②: Male / Faculty of Education, Compulsory Education Department / Current Student, 2023 Enrollment

Overall Evaluation
I have no complaints. It’s an excellent university. Everyone, please come and join us for classes!

Lectures/Classes
The atmosphere makes it easy to ask questions to professors, making classes engaging. However, the content can be difficult, and the quality depends on the professor.

Laboratory/Seminars
I received a lot of support from seniors, but if they don’t like you, the situation can become awkward.

Employment/Advancement
I don’t know much yet, but my seniors have assured me that prospects are good, so I feel optimistic.

Transport/Location
I’m happy it’s close to the nearest station. Apart from that, there’s nothing particularly special.

Facilities/Equipment
I have no complaints. It’s an excellent university. Everyone, please come and join us!

Friends/Romance
I have no complaints. It’s an excellent university. Everyone, please come and join us!

Student Life

Aichi University of Education Review ③: Female / Faculty of Education, Secondary Education Department / Current Student, 2023 Enrollment

Overall Evaluation
The building housing the department’s research laboratories is very beautiful and includes a comfortable study area.
If you aspire to become a teacher, you don’t necessarily have to attend this university to achieve your goals. However, this institution offers a unique environment to truly learn how to write on the blackboard and teach effectively. The opportunity to visit schools and participate in activities from the first year is particularly appealing.

Lectures/Classes
Learning about the history and evolution of education is fascinating. Occasionally, part-time instructors teach university-wide required courses. While there have been such cases, I have yet to encounter anyone who crosses significant boundaries.

Employment/Advancement
As a university with an education faculty, you can access comprehensive support for teacher employment exams through the career support office.
While only a few pursue graduate studies, most become teachers, civil servants, or secure other employment.

Transport/Location
The nearest station is Chiryu Station on the Meitetsu Line. The buses to campus in the mornings have long queues. From Chiryu Station, there are about four buses per hour, but other stations may only have one per hour. It feels limited in that regard.

Facilities/Equipment
Main facilities are generally clean, and the restrooms are well-maintained. While there’s abundant natural scenery off the main streets, regular school activities rarely bring you there. Overall, I’m satisfied with the facilities. There are no escalators, but elevators are available.

Friends/Romance
My impression is that people in clubs and extracurricular groups seem to enjoy themselves. However, it heavily depends on where you go. In some places, everyone in the department could be friends.

Student Life
Clubs and extracurricular activities are active. However, I found the school festival somewhat dull. If you don’t visit other universities, it might be enjoyable, but if you do, the disparity can be disappointing.
