Overall Evaluation
I believe this is an excellent university for those aspiring to become elementary school teachers. The transportation is good, and the professors are kind. However, note that many courses focus on primary education.
Lectures/Classes
In the first half of the first year, there are many foundational education courses, covering subjects like Japanese, mathematics, daily life, and music to obtain primary education qualifications. In the second semester, you can choose courses based on your major but are also free to take courses from other majors based on your interests.
Employment/Advancement
Last year's academic performance for teachers was 100% passing the exam. From what I've heard from seniors, there is a lot of support for job hunting.
Transportation/Location
There is a bus stop in front, providing access to Mitaka Station or Kichijoji Station. Additionally, it's a 15-minute walk from Musashi-Sakai Station and a 20-minute walk from Tanashi Station. The surrounding area is safe, and there is a new park called MUFJ Park next to the university where you can study.
Facilities/Equipment
The Ariake campus is new and beautiful, but the Musashino campus, used by the School of Education and the School of Literature, is older.
Friendship/Romance
Within the department, it depends on the group. However, since the School of Education has many students, it's easy to make friends and connect with friendly seniors.
Student Life
There are quite a few clubs, including unofficial ones. Students organize many events, such as an overnight orientation in April, a cultural festival in October, and a sports competition in December.
