Reputation and Evaluation of Tokyo Metropolitan University
Reputation of Tokyo Metropolitan University: Excellent Cost-effectiveness
Tokyo Metropolitan University receives high praise from major companies, even for its medical school, with a minimum required score of 55. It is truly a university with exceptional cost-effectiveness.
The reason for this university's high evaluation from major companies may be its remarkable employment record.
I believe that finding employment is quite effortless.
Reputation of Tokyo Metropolitan University: Stunning Campus
The campus is incredibly beautiful, and spending time here is undoubtedly delightful.
Below are the campus maps of Tokyo Metropolitan University:

Both campuses are distinct and enchanting.
If you would like to learn more about each campus, please refer to the links below the images.
Reputation of Tokyo Metropolitan University: Spaciousness
Tokyo Metropolitan University is renowned for its "spacious" campus.
This is attributed to the layout of the campus. With fewer students, the campus feels larger, which may be the reason behind this perception.
Evaluation of Tokyo Metropolitan University: Female Students / Department of Human Sciences - Child Studies / Current Students / Enrollment for 2023
Comprehensive Evaluation
I would recommend it to those who wish to study over four years rather than pursuing a two-year program at a junior college or specialized institution, especially those interested in learning more about childcare or considering a career as a childcare worker.
Lectures/Classes
Our highly professional instructors make the lectures enjoyable. Childcare training is included in the curriculum before graduation, allowing you to apply the knowledge gained in the classroom. Although it is predominantly female, we all get along well.
Employment/Promotion
We have teachers who have previously worked in kindergartens and teachers who have a thorough understanding of kindergartens. They can guide you on which kindergartens would be suitable for you.
Transportation/Location
You can reach the university quickly as you descend from the nearest station, but returning uphill can be a bit challenging.
Facilities/Equipment
The newly opened Building 7 is clean, and there are three convenience stores (Family Mart, Lawson, 7-11) near the university.
Friends/Romance
In the Department of Child Studies, you can foster deep friendships. However, due to a limited number of male students, the only option for romantic relationships is to seek outside the department.
Student Life
I have various circles and have made friends with whom I have established both friendships and romantic relationships.
Evaluation of Tokyo Metropolitan University: Female Students / School of Media and Information Studies - Social Media Department / Current Students / Enrollment for 2023
Comprehensive Evaluation
Social media may seem like a challenging field to grasp, but in reality, even those who are not proficient in social media or information-related domains can follow along. Therefore, even individuals who are not skilled in computers can adapt to it.
Lectures/Classes
Even if your English skills are not strong, the classes are divided based on your proficiency level, so there is no need to worry.
Employment/Promotion
I am passionate about finding employment.
Transportation/Location
The environment is excellent and very tranquil. I would recommend it to those who seek freedom of movement.
Facilities/Equipment
You won't feel tired as the distance between buildings is not far! Breakfast is available for 100 yen until 10:30 AM!
Friends/Romance
Although there may not be many clubs, there are several music-related clubs, which is fantastic for music enthusiasts. Additionally, the relationship between seniors and juniors is close-knit, making it easy for beginners to adapt!
Student Life
It is very exciting as there are cultural festivals and sports events. There is also an extracurricular party.
Evaluation of Tokyo Metropolitan University: Male Students / School of Environment - Environmental Creation Department / Current Students / Enrollment for 2023
Comprehensive Evaluation
I am highly satisfied with the content of the lectures. However, there is a portion of students who lack enthusiasm for learning and tend to engage in conversation during class. I would recommend it to those who aspire to specialize in the field of environment.
Lectures/Classes
You can attend various lectures by prominent individuals in the environmental field. It allows for multidimensional thinking.
Employment/Promotion
Considering the difficulty of admission, I find the employment record to be quite good. There is ample support, including an application to track your activities throughout the university. Compared to other science and engineering departments, the graduate admission rate for the Department of Environmental Science and Engineering is relatively low.
Transportation/Location
The nearest Nakagawa Station is a convenient 5-minute walk away. However, there are fewer restaurants or entertainment facilities around the station, necessitating a visit to the neighboring Naka-Kita Station.
Facilities/Equipment
The facilities are relatively clean. However, some larger classrooms, such as the auditorium, show signs of wear and tear. The library provides a conducive learning environment with dedicated spaces for group discussions and individual study.
Friends/Romance
If you join large organizations such as the Student Council or the School Festival Executive Committee, your circle of friendships will expand. As the number of students at the Yokohama Campus is relatively small, I believe the impact will not be significant.
Student Life
Compared to the Setagaya Campus, there are fewer clubs. Many students take the shuttle bus after classes to participate in clubs and organizations at the Setagaya Campus. This year, the Yokohama Campus will be hosting the "Yokohama Festival" in September. There is a sports festival in May, but the attendance is relatively low, and it lacks excitement.
