Kumamoto University Evaluations
Kumamoto University Evaluation ①: Female / Faculty of Education, Elementary School Teacher Training Course / In-school Student / 2023 Enrollment
Comprehensive Evaluation
I find it great for those aspiring to become teachers, but for those without a strong desire to teach, I find the required courses quite dry, making practical training even harder.
Lectures/Classes
Some lectures are challenging because you listen to things you're not truly interested in for 90 minutes.
I believe it's engaging if it's something you're interested in.
Labs/Seminars
I've only gone through the first semester of my first year, so seminars haven't started yet, but from what I've heard from seniors, they seem enriching.
Employment/Promotion
I'm unsure about support since it's only been a year, but I believe the employment record is excellent.
Transportation/Location
It's quite far from the station. It takes courage to walk that distance. There are few shops around.
Facilities/Equipment
It's neither particularly old nor particularly new. The school cafeteria is a bit small; it may get crowded at lunchtime.
Friends/Romance
Having good friends in the same department is beneficial as you can share information. You should join some sort of club or society.
Student Life
I think having many circles is a good thing, and there are plenty of activities.
Kumamoto University Evaluation ②: Female / Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Life Sciences / In-school Student / 2023 Enrollment
Comprehensive Evaluation
The curriculum is interesting. Some courses are challenging, but if you solve past problems correctly, you can pass. Also, I feel sorry for those in the pharmaceutical section, but students in the drug department can choose their labs first.
Lectures/Classes
Lab assignments are given early. I find some professors have their preferences, but I like them all, so I'm content. They enjoy talking, and if you ask them questions, they explain in detail.
Employment/Promotion
I'm not sure. However, most students majoring in drug discovery continue to graduate studies. Additionally, being a national university, the pharmaceutical department is also good for employment.
Transportation/Location
You can take trams and buses. It's close to the city center, and there's a dairy factory nearby.
Facilities/Equipment
I haven't seen everything, but there are many buildings. In places I've been, I never had to replace anything due to lack of something.
Friends/Romance
Honestly, the pharmacy department community at Kumamoto University is the smallest. I think it depends on the individual whether they see this as a good or bad thing. Of course, if you move around, you can make friends of all kinds.
Student Life
I don't think there are many different types, but due to the small community, I think we get along well.
Kumamoto University Evaluation ③: Male / Pharmaceutical Department / In-school Student / 2023 Enrollment
Comprehensive Evaluation
This was my first choice department, and I have excellent relationships with seniors in the club and students in the same department, preparing for my dream for six years.
Lectures/Classes
The professors are very friendly and help with exam preparation and daily study matters.
Employment/Promotion
Many students in the pharmaceutical department become pharmacists, so I think the national exam preparation is thorough. Therefore, I believe their academic achievements are high.
Transportation/Location
It's close to the city, so it's easy to go out for a meal after class or exams to treat yourself.
Facilities/Equipment
I don't know yet since I just started, and I'm not familiar with the facilities in the department.
Friends/Romance
At the university, you gather many people with similar values and ways of thinking, so there are also many people you can talk to.
Student Life
I've been able to build good relationships with my seniors and have had the fortune of meeting some seniors I admire.
