Overall Evaluation
I am very satisfied with the course content because I want to understand biological phenomena more deeply in the future. Many students and teachers are friendly and kind, and I think this department is a good choice.
Lectures/Classes
My impression is that, compared to other departments, there is more classroom learning than practical training. The Department of Applied Biological Sciences is introduced as a department "understanding life functions based on chemistry and biology." Therefore, most of the course content is based on chemistry and biology, such as organic chemistry, biochemistry, molecular biology, and molecular cell biology. All the teachers are biology geeks, so listening to their stories is very interesting.
Employment/Promotion
The graduate school admission rate of this department is as high as 86%, and it can be said to be a department that cultivates researchers. It is rumored that if you continue to study in graduate school, you can find a good job at a large company.
Transportation/Location
Take a bus from Kokubunji Station on the Chuo Line for about 10 minutes or walk for about 30 minutes, or take a bus from Fuchu Station on the Keio Line for about 5 minutes or walk for about 20 minutes. This street is a bit far from the station.
