The campus is very spacious.

Kyushu University Reputation ③: High Research Level

The research standards across all laboratories are exceptionally high.

Being a former Imperial University, Kyushu University likely boasts one of the highest research standards.

Each student will be assigned to a research laboratory during their fourth year at the university, so it's advisable to check in advance.

For information about laboratories, please visit the "Faculties/Graduate Schools, etc." section on the Kyushu University homepage.

Kyushu University Review ①: Female Student, Department of Bioresources and Environmental Sciences, Enrolled in 2023

Overall Assessment: Initially, I wasn't keen on studying here, but I've found it to be quite enriching. There's a wealth of knowledge to be gained about the natural environment and agriculture, and the flexibility to gradually decide on one's specialization. There are some challenges, such as the campus location and the importance of grades for course scheduling, but overall, I believe this university is well-suited for those interested in agriculture, the environment, and food.

Lectures/Classes: During the lower grades, students primarily receive foundational education. The College of Agriculture has many compulsory science courses, so there isn't much freedom in course selection initially. However, from the second half of the second year, you'll have the opportunity to participate in highly specialized courses based on your assigned curriculum. Nonetheless, good grades in core education are crucial for entering your chosen courses.

Employment/Promotion: After all, it's Kyushu University, so I have the impression that finding work in Kyushu shouldn't be difficult. In the College of Agriculture, apart from agricultural economics, nearly 90% of students continue to graduate school. There are various job opportunities afterward, whether in companies or government, but I believe there are quite a few opportunities in major corporations.

Transportation/Location: The nearest station is 4 kilometers away, with a bus fare of 300 yen. Even living near the school, there aren't many amenities like supermarkets, making it quite challenging to live.

Facilities/Equipment: The campus is new and clean, especially the College of Agriculture, which is spacious and tidy due to recent relocation. Additionally, each laboratory has fairly expensive experimental equipment. My only complaint is that the distance to the humanities campus is too far. The departure times of the free AI buses are very flexible.

Friends/Dating: Very interesting. A club has about 100 members, so there's a community, and each class in the College of Agriculture has around 60 people, so you can make friends. Additionally, if you participate in intensive lectures or overnight events, you'll make even more friends. However, I feel like I haven't been with my friends as consistently as before high school, although I think this depends on the teachers and clubs.

Student Life: My circle is quite active, so I have a sense of achievement. You'll receive a lot of notifications about activities, so if you seek them out yourself, I think you'll have a fulfilling day.

Kyushu University Review ②: Male Student, Department of Architecture, Enrolled in 2023

Overall Assessment: I chose this school because I want to become a top-notch architect, and I believe I made a good choice. After all, universities with high deviation scores attract ambitious individuals. I feel like I can focus on studying and enjoy a fulfilling university life.

Lectures/Classes: I enjoy learning through interesting lectures every hour. Architecture is fascinating.

Employment/Promotion: There are various paths, including working for large general contractors and becoming civil servants. Please provide sufficient support.

Transportation/Location: The Ito Campus is inconvenient for transportation, so I ride a bicycle to school.

Facilities/Equipment: It's one of the most beautiful campuses among all national universities in Japan, even at night.

Friends/Dating: Since it's the engineering department, there are many men. The architecture department seems to have many women.

Student Life: There are quite a few circles. There's also a very active sports club, so it's lively.
