Doshisha University is one of the Guan Guan Tong Li universities, which refers to four renowned universities in the Kansai region. These four universities are Kansai University, Kwansei Gakuin University, Ritsumeikan University, and Doshisha University.
Review ①: Female Student / Policy Studies Department / Current Student / Enrolled in 2023
Overall Assessment: I couldn't find the major I wanted at the university, so I entered the Policy Studies Department. It's great because I can explore many fields.
Lectures/Classes: I think the Policy Studies Department provides an environment where you can study various fields. We have a course called "Academic Skills" where you can focus on your interests in small classrooms.
Employment/Promotion: Many people work in companies and banks in Kyoto because the university is located there.
Transportation/Location: Today's Gawa Station is directly connected to the university, making commuting easy even on rainy days.
Facilities/Equipment: The mandatory courses for the Policy Studies Department and the Social Studies Department are held at the Shinmachi Campus facilities, which are also beautiful buildings.
Friends/Dating: If you join a club or circle, you'll be able to make many friends who get along well with you. If you join the Kyotanabe circle, you'll also make friends there.
Student Life: There are too many circles to count. You might wonder which one to join, but if you look at Instagram, I think you can find the one that suits you.
Review ②: Male Student / Department of Political Science, Faculty of Law / Current Student / Enrolled in 2023
Overall Assessment: The classes and teaching are easy to understand. If you're in the Faculty of Law, come to the Department of Political Science. It's a 5-star without a doubt.
Lectures/Classes: We all get along well. You can study at your own pace, highly recommended.
Employment/Promotion: Please provide adequate support. The admission rate is also very high, which is attractive to me.
Transportation/Location: It's quiet around here. I can hardly hear the sound of cars. I can concentrate very well.
Facilities/Equipment: The entire building is new, but the wooden parts are a bit intimidating, so I wish they were concrete.
Friends/Dating: We're good friends. I got my first girlfriend here ( ̄▽ ̄;) If you want a lover, come here.
Student Life: There are many circles. (More fun than other universities) (´`)
Review ③: Female Student / Department of Medical Life Systems, Institute for Life and Medical Sciences / Current Student / Enrolled in 2023
Overall Assessment: Highly recommended for those interested in medicine but do not want to become doctors or nurses, or for those who want to understand disease prevention methods and mechanisms. You can gain expertise in biology and work in pharmaceutical companies, food companies, cosmetics development companies, etc.
Lectures/Classes: It's great to be able to learn in depth. Recommended for those interested in biology and medicine.
Employment/Promotion: We have records of entering large companies such as Panasonic and Sumitomo Dainippon Pharma.
Transportation/Location: It's Kyotanabe, so it's a bit less urbanized than Today's Gawa, but it's surrounded by nature, the atmosphere is good, and most importantly, the buildings are clean.
Facilities/Equipment: It's very beautiful. In terms of beauty, Kyotanabe surpasses Today's Gawa! ! It's a private school, so I don't like it anyway!
Friends/Dating: There is a lot of interaction within the same department, and there are many experiments, so I don't think you'll have any trouble making friends.
Student Life: There are over 300 circles, so it's very fulfilling, with a wide range of activities from sports to cheerleading culture, dance, etc.
