Saitama University Reputation ①: Unfavorable Location

The campus map of Saitama University is depicted in the following image.

(Source: Saitama University website "Transportation/Campus Map")

Saitama University is quite distant from the nearest station, Namiki Station, requiring a bus ride for about 9 minutes.

Given its status as a national university, the location is considered less than ideal.

Saitama University Reputation②: Infamous Security at the Main Gate

The security personnel at the main gate of Saitama University are known for their discourteous attitude.

On various review websites, there are at least five comments regarding the security at the main gate of Saitama University.

It's intriguing how someone with such a negative demeanor can gain notoriety.

Saitama University Reputation③: Liberal Campus Atmosphere

Saitama University has minimal assignments and attendance checks, fostering a spirit of academic freedom.

The campus culture here appears to be very liberal.

Even within national universities, there can be significant differences in the school culture among different institutions.

Saitama University Reviews①: Female Students/Educational Faculty School Education Teacher Training Course/Current Student/Admitted in 2022

Overall Evaluation I'm only a sophomore, so there are some things I don't quite understand, but I feel that the facilities and environment are excellent. The advantage is that you can also enjoy the courses.

Lectures/Classes Lecturers employ a humorous and engaging teaching style, making the course content both informative and enjoyable.

Employment/Career Advancement You can rest assured that your mentor will diligently discuss matters related to finding employment with you.

Transportation/Location It's just one bus ride away from Kitaurawa Station, so the commute is very quick, although mornings can be challenging.

Facilities/Equipment The pathway to the meeting room is noticeably worn, but there are no other major issues m(__)m.

Friends/Romance In clubs, we have good friends from different grades, so we can have a lot of fun together.

Student Life Sometimes we collaborate with students from other schools, providing opportunities for new discoveries!

Saitama University Reviews②: Female Students/College of Science Basic Chemistry Department/Current Student/Admitted in 2022

Overall Evaluation This part is because I don't understand it myself, lacking the motivation to study, but I've also heard people around me say that they started to dislike chemistry after coming to the Basic Chemistry Department.

Lectures/Classes I can't say it's great. I'm also helpless, after all, I'm a researcher, but professors who teach with the purpose of helping students understand are few.

Employment/Career Advancement I don't know much yet, but it seems there is no employment support system.

Transportation/Location The transportation is indeed terrible. Since the nearest station is far away, I don't think there are many people who walk there.

Facilities/Equipment Average. The library is nice, but it's also okay, and many other facilities are old buildings, so it's not as comprehensive as other universities.

Friends/Romance Since I joined a club, I made a lot of friends. As people around me often say, meeting someone in class is quite difficult, so it's important to find them in other communities, such as clubs, club activities, part-time jobs, etc.

Student Life The school festival is at a normal level. It's not a particularly big success. I don't know how it compares to clubs at other universities, but I think you can find something that suits your interests. Some of my friends have formed their own loose circles.
