Sony Life Insurance conducted an internet research study from November 2, 2023, to November 10, 2023, involving 4,700 individuals aged between 20 and 59 in Japan (100 from each prefecture). The findings were disclosed as the "2023 Survey of Lifestyle Awareness in the 47 Prefectures."

Top 10 Prefectures for Future Residence!
Concerning the prefectures individuals envision for future habitation, Tokyo claims the top spot (8.0%), followed by Okinawa (7.1%) and Fukuoka (5.6%). Regarding the willingness to reside in their current prefecture in the future, Hokkaido takes the lead (58.0%), followed by Shizuoka (53.0%) and Aichi, Shiga, Osaka, and Fukuoka (all at 52.0%).
Hokkaido (31.8%) and Okinawa (22.5%) are the prefectures people aspire to visit at least once in their lifetime.
