Overall Evaluation: The content of lectures and research is intriguing. However, depending on your course, you may find it challenging to balance part-time work or club activities due to the busy schedule of experiments and practical training.
Lectures/Classes: Many specialized subjects from the second year onwards are highly engaging. However, some humanities subjects studied in the first year have a high teaching level, requiring approximately twice the preparation time compared to other subjects. Hence, early preparation is advisable.
Employment/Promotion: Compared to other national universities, the records for employment and promotion are relatively inferior, but I believe the relevant support is sufficient.
Accessibility/Location: For those commuting by train from a distant JR station, additional expenses for bus and bicycle parking are incurred. Moreover, the buses are often crowded, necessitating early arrival at the bus stop.
Facilities/Equipment: The teaching buildings are modern and well-maintained. There are also farms and training forests outside the campus.
Friends/Romance: This depends on the type of people you befriend, but in the College of Agriculture, there are many dedicated individuals, and I find my friends in this environment very inspiring.
Student Life: There are numerous circles related to music, each handling different music genres. Whether you're serious about playing music or just want to casually enjoy it, you can find a circle that suits you best.
Shizuoka University Evaluation ②: Male Student / College of Information Science / Information Sociology Department / Enrolled in 2022
Overall Evaluation: I have some concerns about finding a job, but overall, I am quite satisfied. I enjoy club activities and part-time work every day. It is the easiest college at the Hamamatsu campus because you can easily earn credits.
Lectures/Classes: You can study not only information science but also a wide range of disciplines such as linguistics and psychology.
Employment/Promotion: Since I haven't started looking for a job yet, I can't provide too much evaluation, but I feel it is neither good nor bad.
Accessibility/Location: There are not many restaurants around the school, and it will be very difficult without a bicycle.
Facilities/Equipment: The floor of the Information Center is carpeted and looks nice. A water server has recently been installed, so you can drink water when you feel thirsty.
Friends/Romance: The male-to-female ratio in the Information Sociology Department is 1:1, and students often participate. However, like any other faculty, if you don't take the initiative, you won't be able to make friends or find a romantic partner.
Student Life: There are indeed many different types of clubs and circles. I think it's a good idea to create your own circle if there isn't one that you want to join.

Overall Evaluation: You can study both scientific subjects like programming and statistics, as well as social science and humanities subjects. I think those who study humanities but also have an interest in science would find it very interesting.
Lectures/Classes: It feels very fulfilling because you can learn in many fields, not just information science.
Employment/Promotion: I don't know much about employment yet, but I heard that the Information Sociology Department receives many recommendations.
Accessibility/Location: Buses stop in front of the school every 10 minutes, and it takes about 15 minutes to reach Hamamatsu Station.
Facilities/Equipment: The library is very nice, but especially in summer, the air conditioning is not very effective. The tea room space in the College of Information Science does not have air conditioning, so it's hot in summer and cold in winter. Some buildings are beautiful, but most are not that impressive.
Friends/Romance: Even if you join a club, I don't think you'll make many friends at the Hamamatsu campus. By joining joint clubs at the Shizuoka campus, you can make friends from Shizuoka.
Student Life: I don't know much about it because I haven't participated, but the school festival is less lively than I imagined.
