Evaluation of Fukui University of Technology ①: Male Student / Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering / Current Student / Enrolled in 2024
Overall Evaluation
It is highly beneficial for those seeking employment. While enjoying university life is possible, it largely depends on the individual. As for romance, it varies as both genders are scarce.
Lectures/Classes
Some classes can be quite troublesome. They are taught by professors. I don't like the card-based attendance system.
Labs/Seminars
The seminars are excellent, although they depend on the professor. I am very satisfied with the clear and understandable lectures.
Employment/Advancement
It will be very advantageous if you meet the requirements. This is one of the strengths of the engineering college.
Transportation/Location
The campus is a bit far from the station on foot. The inconsistent schedules for trains and buses are inconvenient.
Facilities/Equipment
The facilities are clean and easy to use. They are also spacious, though if you have poor eyesight, you might struggle to see the back of the classrooms.

Making friends is possible, but as there are few girls suitable for dating, communication can be difficult if you're not able to make connections.

Overall Evaluation
While there are useful learning facilities and an easy-to-learn environment, research projects can become difficult depending on the professor. It is best to be cautious in this regard.
Lectures/Classes
To earn credits, I have to take courses outside of my major. Personally, I just want to focus on my specialty once I'm in university.
Employment/Advancement
I'm not yet at the stage of looking for a job, so I'm not fully aware of it. However, I have heard from seniors that employers are very generous when hiring.
Transportation/Location
It is convenient that there are many supermarkets and restaurants nearby, but the distance to the station is quite far, which makes it inconvenient. If you're planning to enroll, I recommend living in the dormitory to save on commuting time.
Facilities/Equipment
The department has various practical training facilities. The best part is being able to learn useful skills. However, some of the equipment is outdated, which is something I am dissatisfied with.
Friends/Romance
It may vary from person to person, but for me, I made many friends and formed close relationships in club activities, which was fulfilling. As for romance, unfortunately, I have had no experiences in that area, so I cannot relate.
