Below is a map showing the area around Chiba University.

Although located in a rural area, the campus is well-equipped with all the essential facilities, making it quite convenient for daily life.
Chiba University's Reputation ③: Convenient Transportation Near the Station
The following are the times required to reach Chiba University.
- 2-minute walk from Nishichiba Station
- 7-minute walk from Midoridai Station
The transportation is very convenient.
Review ①: Female / School of Engineering, Comprehensive Engineering Program / Current Student / Admitted in 2023
Overall Evaluation
Excellent. I'm very happy I was accepted here. The students are outstanding, and everyone is very dedicated to architecture, creating an environment conducive to hard work.
Lectures/Classes
The professors teach with great attention to detail. Design classes are organized into small groups for more personalized guidance.
Laboratories/Seminars
I haven’t attended any seminars yet. From the third year, I will become a member of a lab. High-achieving students can join the labs of their choice.
Employment/Advancement
The support is ample. I believe my academic performance is excellent. The pass rate for the first-class architect certification is also high.
Transportation/Location
Only a 1-minute walk from the station. The area is full of ramen shops, so dining out is never an issue.
Facilities/Equipment
It may not be extremely clean, but it's not dirty. There’s a drawing room, which is very convenient for work.
Friends/Romance
My friends are great. There aren’t many romantic relationships within the department—around three couples.
Student Life
The clubs are fun. There are many drinking parties and activities, and plenty of clubs to join. I can make many friends.
Review ②: Male / School of Law and Economics, Department of Law and Economics / Current Student / Admitted in 2023
Overall Evaluation
This is ideal for those wanting to study practical sciences but unsure about their major. Since specialized courses begin in the second year, it may not be enough for those who have already decided their field of study in the first year.
Lectures/Classes
You can learn a lot from professors active in the fields of law and economics.
Laboratories/Seminars
I haven't participated in any seminars yet, but I am dissatisfied with the small number of seminars and the lack of options in my preferred area of study.
Employment/Advancement
The preparation and support for civil service exams are comprehensive, but I feel there is less support for general employment.
Transportation/Location
It’s very convenient, as it’s less than a 5-minute walk from Nishichiba Station on the Sobu Line. I also like the quiet surroundings.
Facilities/Equipment
As it’s a national university, the facilities are a bit old, but they are basic and functional, so I’m not too dissatisfied.
Friends/Romance
It really depends on the person. Don’t worry, you’ll make friends in your first English class.
Student Life
It’s fairly typical. If I had to say, there are only a few clubs, so those looking for a more relaxed environment might not have many options.
Review ③: Female / School of Education, Nursing Program / Current Student / Admitted in 2023
Overall Evaluation
Studying with like-minded friends really motivates you! All the teachers are friendly and kind. Medical courses are taught by professors from the university hospital, so you hear many valuable stories.
Lectures/Classes
Since it’s a comprehensive university, you can take a wide range of courses outside your major! This broadens your perspective significantly!
Employment/Advancement
You can consult anytime! They also provide mock interview sessions, so the support is thorough!
Transportation/Location
The campus is quite large, so it can be difficult to get around.
Facilities/Equipment
The facilities are relatively well-equipped! The library is particularly well-stocked, and the spaces are divided to suit different purposes.
Friends/Romance
There are only good girls, so friendships are easy to form. As for romance, everyone’s experiences are unique.
Student Life
There are many different clubs, which helps expand your social circle. The festivals are also very exciting!
