The faculty at Morioka University enjoys a strong reputation.
Specifically, here are some aspects:

While these may seem like basic expectations, very few universities manage to meet them consistently.
Review of Morioka University ①: Female Student / Department of English Culture, Faculty of Arts / Current Student / 2023 Enrollment
Overall Evaluation
I think you can choose courses that suit your abilities, which is great, but I feel that many courses are generally boring.
Lectures/Classes
The difficulty of courses varies greatly depending on the professor. I think hiring a teacher who is lax in their duties is pointless.
Laboratories/Seminars
I can interact a lot with the professors, but the seminars are average. Some may be dissatisfied, as many classes are just lectures from the teacher.
Employment/Advancement
If you want to become a teacher, I think there's adequate support, but for those seeking work in regular companies, there is not enough support.
Transportation/Location
The university is located in the mountains, so there is nothing around and transportation is poor. I think it would be difficult for people without cars.
Facilities/Equipment
The facilities are fairly clean, but I am not satisfied with the school cafeteria. I think it lacks variety and convenience.
Friends/Relationships
I think making friends is easy, but I am not satisfied with the romantic aspects. Firstly, there are very few opportunities to socialize.
Student Life
There are many clubs, but I don't even know if they are active, so I feel I can't do the things I want to do.
Review of Morioka University ②: Male Student / Department of Social and Cultural Studies, Faculty of Arts / Current Student / 2023 Enrollment
Overall Evaluation
At university, you can learn a wide range of specialized knowledge.
I am very satisfied with the facilities and scholarship support here, so I don't have to worry too much.
Lectures/Classes
I find the lecture content very interesting and engaging.
In addition, I have learned study methods and how to cultivate a thirst for knowledge, which made me decide to enroll.
Employment/Advancement
Employment is mainly concentrated in the surrounding areas of Iwate Prefecture, followed by Hokkaido and other counties in the Tohoku region.
Transportation/Location
The area is surrounded by forests, so I think I can enjoy a peaceful time without much noise.
Facilities/Equipment
There is a convenience store nearby, and you can buy whatever you need, which is very convenient.
Friends/Relationships
I think it's great because everyone is friends regardless of gender, and progress has been made on gender and LGBT issues.
Student Life
There are many unique clubs, some even have departments dedicated to studying ghosts and ghost photography, which is very rewarding.
Review of Morioka University ③: Female Student / Department of Japanese Literature, Faculty of Arts / Current Student / 2022 Enrollment
Overall Evaluation
Honestly, if I expected a high school-like atmosphere, I would be quite surprised. Some courses use internet memes, so if you don't mind this, it could be a good choice.
Lectures/Classes
Each professor is unique, with both good and bad aspects. You can choose courses based on the qualifications you wish to obtain.
Laboratories/Seminars
When writing your thesis, you will need to choose a professor to guide you. Generally, you will work with a professor from the field you wish to focus on.
Employment/Advancement
There are courses to prepare for civil service exams. However, there are not many people who are familiar with them.
Transportation/Location
The nearest station is quite far, and there are very few buses, making it rather inconvenient. Our only convenience store has disappeared, and there are no other stores around.
Facilities/Equipment
The building mainly used by the Faculty of Arts is quite old, and equipment such as computers is very slow. Compared to standalone buildings, the restrooms are also outdated.
Friends/Relationships
I think you can make friends by joining clubs. Some people are from outside the prefecture, so I think if you talk to them, you can become friends.
Student Life
There are many activities, such as the cultural festival and Christmas services. Participation is free, so feel free to join in.
