Northern Horse Park Theme Park (ノーザンホースパーク) is an experiential theme park centered around horses, located approximately 15 minutes from Chitose Airport (there is also a free shuttle bus from the airport).
On its vast grounds, various horse-related activities are held, including horseback riding experiences, pony performances, an introduction to the Northern Horse Park's racehorses through the "Thoroughbred Guide," as well as outdoor activities like cycling and putting for mini-golf.

Naitai Highland Farm (ナイタイ高原牧場)


Naitai Highland Farm is the largest public farm in Japan, covering a total area of 1,700 hectares. This farm is as large as 358 Tokyo Domes. You might expect to see cows grazing since it's a farm, but due to its vast size, it's possible that you may not see them, or they could be too far away to spot.


However, most visitors come here to enjoy the spectacular views from the mountaintop. So if you happen to spot a cow nearby, consider yourself lucky! You will soon be captivated by the rolling hills and serene landscapes of the Tokachi Plain. Near the summit, there is a café called "Naitai Terrace" where you can savor snacks and drinks while taking in the vibrant scenery through the full-length glass windows.

Ecorin Village Green Farm (えこりん村 みどりの牧場)



Ecorin Village Green Farm is a theme park where you can enjoy interaction with nature and animals. Within its about 40-hectare grounds, you'll find the "Galaxy Courtyard" adorned with beautiful flowers and the "Green Farm" where you can get up close to observe alpacas and sheep.

At the Green Farm, they also hold a "Sheep Race" where five sheep compete in a spirited race. Shadai Stallion Station (社台スタリオンステーション)

"Shadai Stallion Station" breeds some of the famous horses that even people not interested in horse racing may have heard of, such as the undefeated Triple Crown champion "ディープインパクト (Deep Impact)" and "キタサンブラック (Kitasan Black)," owned by Shozo Sasaki. It is the representative stud farm of the Japan Racing Association and attracts many visitors who come to watch or purchase racehorses.

"Hokkaido Hakone Ranch" is a tourist farm surrounded by magnificent nature. It features a "Petting Park" where you can interact with cows, horses, rabbits, and sheep. Horonobe-cho Reindeer Ranch(幌延町トナカイ観光牧場)

Horonobe-cho Reindeer Ranch is the only reindeer farm in Japan. The species originally comes from Finland, and about 60 second and third-generation reindeer born in Horonobe live here. Reindeer are gentle and friendly animals, and if you offer them special food in your palm, they will come over to eat.

Every year from May to June, you can see adorable baby reindeer, and during winter, you can even ride a sleigh pulled by reindeer. This is a popular activity that makes you feel like Santa Claus, and it adds to the charm of the ranch.

"Yamacawa Farm" is approximately a 10-minute walk from JR Onuma Station. Since the late Meiji period, the farm has been committed to organic farming methods to prepare the soil and has always focused on carefully selecting high-quality grass grown in safe soil to feed their cows.

The "Yamacawa Farm Milk Factory," a new company building that opened in 2016, sells exquisite dairy products such as milk, yogurt, and cheese. The soft-serve ice cream and milkshakes available for tasting on-site are also very popular! These are desserts you definitely shouldn't miss.

Next to the milk factory, there is a cowshed where you can experience feeding calves (available from April to October). If you're interested, it's a great opportunity to interact with the young calves and enjoy this hands-on experience.

Country Farmers Fujita Farm is certified by the Japan Central Milk Industry Association as an educational dairy farm.
